Uniqueness
Each sculpture is entirely one of a kind. Natural variations in shape, grain, and coloration are intrinsic to the material. Product images are representative; the sculpture you receive will differ subtly.
Material & Craftsmanship
Parasite wood forms when a mistletoe-type plant grows on a host tree, in this case a Chinaberry (Jempinis) tree. As a natural defense response, the tree produces dense, mushroom-like growths commonly referred to as wood roses.
These formations are remarkably solid and durable, remaining intact even after the host tree decays. Once used only as firewood, this rare material is now valued for creating distinctive, one-of-a-kind wood carvings.
Each branch is carefully selected for its natural shape, dried, and hand-carved to reveal the sculptural form that emerges organically from the wood.
Care Instructions
Clean gently with water and a soft cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or direct sunlight.
